Crowley Court-Exterior Door Replacement
The QUINCY HOUSING AUTHORITY, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from
Contractors for the Exterior Unit Door Replacement at State Aided Development: David
J. Crowley Court (667-1) in Quincy, Massachusetts, in accordance with the documents
prepared by ARCHITECTURAL SOLUTIONS INC..
The Project consists of but not limited to:
Exterior Unit Door Replacement at David J. Crowley Ct. Elderly Development (667-1),
Quincy, MA. all in accordance with the Contract Documents.
Asbestos abatement is also included in the scope.
The work is estimated to cost $375,000.00.
Bids are subject to M.G.L. c.149 §44A-J & to minimum wage rates as required by
M.G.L. c.149 §§26 to 27H inclusive.

Intercom System Replacement

The QUINCY HOUSING AUTHORITY, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from Contractors for the Intercom System Replacement at Sawyer and Tobin Towers at State Aided Development:

Sawyer Towers (667-3), 95 Martensen Street, Quincy, MA 02169
in accordance with the documents prepared by JOHN MURPHY JR. ELECTRICAL CONSTRUCTION & ENGINEERING, INC..
The Project consists of but not limited to:
Installation of new audio intercom systems for both Sawyer Towers and for Tobin Towers. Work would include limited asbestos abatement should alternate#1 is accepted. Work is also to include removal of the existing intercom system once the new ones are operational.
The work is estimated to cost $978,800.00.
All bidding Requests for Information (RFIs) shall be submitted online by 07/01/2024 at 11:00AM EDT for filed sub-bids and by 07/01/2024 at 11:00AM EDT for general bids.

Beal Street Hingham Development (100 Beal Street)
The Hingham Housing Authority (“Authority”), through its Chief Procurement Officer is seeking
proposals from qualified developers for the development of approximately 60 units of affordable senior
rental housing at a range of incomes, on approximately 8.6 acres of land owned by the Housing
Authority in Hingham, MA. The parcel is addressed on land at 100 Beal Street, and further identified as
“School Tract II” on pages 3 and 4 of a plan titled “Plan of Land: Beal, West, & Fort Streets, prepared for
the Town of Hingham July 1972,” recorded in the Plymouth County Registry of Deeds Plan Book 17,
Page 508.
The Housing Authority acquired the land in 1989. The Housing Authority voted at their Board of
Directors Meeting on September 10, 2024 to make the land available for affordable housing.
The Hingham Housing Authority intends to enter into a Land Disposition and Development Agreement
(LDDA) with the selected developer and lease the property to the developer, with affordability
restrictions. The developer will be responsible for the design, construction, development, and operation
of the rental units at the property.
The purpose of this Request for Proposals (“RFP”) is to select a developer with demonstrated
experience and capacity to carry out a development project that best addresses the needs and goals of
the community as described in this RFP. The most advantageous proposal, from a responsive and
responsible proposer, considering all evaluation criteria set forth in the RFP, will be selected.
